About
Sarah Zarina Hakani (b. 1995) is an interdisciplinary artist and educator living and working in Brooklyn, NY.  Her body of work, which ranges from book arts to printmaking to sound, engages with language, transcription, and power. She is interested in material traditions that offer counters to the extractive, manipulative, and insatiable structures she examines. 

Currently, Sarah teaches in the Interactive Media Arts department at NYU Tisch and organizes with South Asian Left
